After analysing both national real estate searches and the regions preferred by foreigners looking to buy real estate in Türkiye through Zingat’s English website, Zingat has announced Türkiye’s real estate summary for 2022.
In the search for houses for sale, Istanbul came to the fore among the provinces and Akşehir among the districts
Throughout 2022, Istanbul ranked first among the provinces in which Zingat visitors searched for houses for sale the most. Istanbul was respectively followed by Aksaray, İzmir, Konya, and Trabzon.
Akşehir, one of Konya’s districts, had the highest number of searches for houses for sale throughout the year. According to the Zingat report, Kuşadası, which was the most searched district for the last two years, ranked fourth in 2022. Following Akşehir, the most popular districts where people search for houses for sale on Zingat are Amasya Merkez, Polatlı, Kuşadası, and Yozgat Merkez.
Rental housing was mostly searched in İstanbul and Trabzon
The rental housing market became one of Türkiye’s hot topics in 2022, due to the rapid rise in rent increase rates since the beginning of the year and the 25% limit imposed on rent increases.
The provinces with the highest number of rental housing searches throughout the year, according to Zingat’s Türkiye’s 2022 Real Estate Summary analysis, were İstanbul, Trabzon, Aksaray, İzmir, and Ordu, respectively.
The first 5 districts in the search for rental housing were Esenler, Fatsa, Turgutlu, Amasya Merkez, and Çayırova. İzmit, Düzce, Konak, Kadıköy, and Selçuklu were among the districts that Zingat users frequently searched for in the daily rental category in 2022.
Izmir’s on the rise in land investment
Izmir, which ranked first in searches for “land for sale“ in 2021 and experienced an increase in demand following the pandemic, became prominent among the cities most preferred by those heading for land investments in 2022.
In addition to İzmir, the provinces where Zingat users most frequently searched for land investment for sale in 2022, according toZingat’s analysis, were Aksaray, Istanbul, Konya, and Antalya.
Searches for pet-friendly houses are rising
In 2022, the innovative real estate site Zingat provided pet owners with a special ad filtering system and service model for their property search.Zingat can quickly list real estate listings in the categories for sale, rent, and daily rental using the filter “Pet-Friendly Houses with Paws,” which can be distinguished from other real estate ads on the platform thanks to its paw icon.
According to the Türkiye’s 2022 Real Estate Summary analysis by Zingat, the top 5 districts in the “housing for sale” category of pet-friendly house searches in Türkiye were respectively Pendik, Balçova, Beylikdüzü, Başakşehir, and Arnavutköy. Atakum, Samsun’s district, was the most popular district on the real estate site among pet owners looking for “pet-friendly” rental housing, followed by Kuşadası, Bodrum, Mamak, and Çiğli.
Foreigners search for real estate on Zingat’s English website
Zingat’s English website, which experienced a nearly 400% increase in click rate in 2022, contains fascinating information about foreign real estate investment in Türkiye. On the site, real estate ads in Türkiye can be displayed in English, with users from all over the world becoming the majority and foreigners living in Türkiye.
While the service known as “Zingat Find Me a Home” which was introduced to the international market on Zingat’s English website became popular, the provinces and districts where users searched the most for real estate for sale on both ads and Zingat Find Me a Home were also determined.
According to Türkiye’s 2022 Real Estate Summary analysis by Zingat, the top 3 most searched cities on the English site were listed as İstanbul, Konya, Muğla, Şişli, Beşiktaş, and Marmaris were among the top 3 districts where foreigners looked for housing for sale in Türkiye.
